    Industrial Innovation Info Days will be held on 3 and 4 October 2017 in Brussels

    The Industrial Innovation Info Days will be held on 3 and 4 October 2017 in Brussels, under the auspices of the European Commission Directorate General for Research & Innovation.

    The purpose of this major event, which will gather more than 1000 participants, is to inform stakeholders about activities in the “Key Enabling Technologies” part of Horizon 2020. The programme will include keynote addresses on current and future investments in EU research & innovation, as well as presentations on upcoming challenges in the area of Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Advanced Manufacturing and Processing, and Biotechnology. The Info Days will also involve significant networking activities. During brokerage and matchmaking sessions, participants will have the opportunity to present their project ideas and meet potential partners from similar fields with a view to developing future project proposals. Stakeholders from Member States are involved in the organisation of the event and will be present to give concrete advice to potential Horizon 2020 applicants. Registrations are open and we warmly encourage you to participate in this event personally and avail of this ideal opportunity to meet many stakeholders. There are no registration fees.

    On each day of the event, lunch and refreshments will be offered, and at the end of the first day, there will be a networking cocktail.     ENCORD Council Meeting October 2016 in The Netherlands

    The ENCORD Council Meeting was held on 24-25 October 2016 in The Netherlands. 30 participants from 16 member companies attended the meeting.

    The main themes taken up in the meeting were:

    European initiatives:

      • – FP9: ECTP Vision Ad’hoc Group.
      • – ECTP Conference.
      • – 2018 TRA & Refinet.

    ENCORD session: The impact of digitalization in construction: Sharing views:

      • – The need to evaluate the future impact of Information and Communication Technologies in the construction sector and the built environment by EC.
      • – High level Management presentation on the work of bSI in the world of standardization in the construction industry by buildingSMART International (bSI).
      • – Research work with a focus on Digital Construction (including 3D printing / Robotics / etc.) by TNO Delft.
      • – Innovation Strategy in the Construction Industry by Deloitte.

    Presentation and visits:

      • – 3D Concrete Printer at TU/e (Research project, current status, …).
      • – Presentation and visit CyBe (3D printing Concrete in practice).
      • – Presentation and visit MX3D (3D printing steel structures using robots).

    ENCORD Council Meeting March 2016 in Porto

    The ENCORD Council Meeting was held on 1-2 March 2016 in Porto, Portugal, hosted by Teixeira Duarte. 31 participants from 18 member companies attended the meeting.

    The main themes taken up in the meeting were:

    – The first part of the meeting was focused on Digitalization: Impact in Construction:

    Dra. Isabel da Rosa, Director of the Portuguese Institute of Public Markets Real Estate and Construction gave an overview of the Portuguese Model of Electronic Public-procurement.

    Engº José Carlos Lino, the CEO of NEWTON shown the presentation: BIM and ICT: the new Construction challenge.

    Laura Tordera, Secretary General of ENCORD updated the ENCORD and WEF agreement in the framework of Future of Construction project.

    ENCORD Council Meeting October 2015 at ITER project

    The ENCORD Council Meeting was held on 5-6 October 2015 at ITER project in Cadarache, France. 14 participants from 12 member companies attended the meeting.

    The main themes taken up in the meeting were:

    – Presentation of ITER: General presentation of the ITER project, ITER Organization, explanation about thermonuclear fusion, industrial organization, with a focus on logistic and heavy transports by a representative of ITER Organization.

    – Presentation of Tokamak: Presentation of the Tokamak project under its civil works aspects, by Frederic Sciblo, Vinci-Ferrovial site manager, and Oriol Ribas. Focus on the engineering dimensions and management of the permanent redefinition of the project.

    The February 2014 ENCORD Council meeting was held on 24-25 February 2014 in Vienna, Austria, hosted by Strabag-Zublin. 21 participants from 12 member companies attended the meeting.

    The meeting included:

    –       Welcome by the CEO of the Strabag Group and presentation about ENCORD.
    –       Workshop on successful innovation including:
                  – Ballast Nedam presentation.
                  – Hochtief presentation.

    ENCORD and ENBRI’s 25th anniversary and ECTP’s 10th anniversary Event

    ENCORD and the European Construction Technology Platform (ECTP) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Building Test Expo (June 17th-19th 2014, Brussels). The ECTP-E2BA Conference 2014, organised jointly with ENCORD and ENBRI, will co-locate with Building Test Expo in central Brussels this coming June.

    The meetings, running in tandem, will support the two event’s mutual goals of driving innovation, sustainability and competitiveness within the European construction industry. The 2014 meeting celebrates ENCORD and ENBRI’s 25th anniversary and the ECTP’s 10th anniversary, making this a milestone year for the event. In addition to this, participants to the ECTP-E2BA Conference will have full access to Building Test Expo, an event dedicated to construction product testing and certification, and the chance to network with hundreds of qualified decision-makers within the construction testing area.

    Building Test Expo, supported by ECTP, will pave the way for an improved and more cost effective route to evaluation and certification. With harmonised standards a key talking point, the exhibition hall will provide a vital central location for the co-located events.

    In addition to thousands of buyers in the construction industry attending Building Test Expo 2014, the European Organisation for Technical Assessment’s (EOTA) General Assembly is also set to take place June 17th and 18th. ENCORD and ECTP members can meet with EOTA delegates who will also have full access to Building Test Expo. Together these events form the most influential meeting held to date on the subject matter.

    Building Test Expo brings together Technical Assessment Bodies (TABs), Testing Laboratories, Universities and Testing Product Manufacturers in a focused exhibition, which will be attended by construction product manufacturers looking for the latest testing methods, instruments and certification processes which aid product development and innovation.

    ENCORD and ECTP members are invited to participate in the exhibition, which will host the largest selection of TABs and Certification Laboratories ever assembled in an exhibition environment specifically focused on construction products testing and certification for construction product manufacturers.
